This website is devoted to providing resources that support classroom teachers and others in their efforts to integrate technology and learning.  Guided by the NY State Learning Standards, and the ISTE Standards for teachers, administrators and students, the Wappingers  Central School District has worked to promote effective technology integration. 

    For several years the district has encouraged teachers to explore information technology in order to  create  learning opportunities.   It has been providing support for the development of  Smart Classrooms, as well as management solutions like, Schooltool.   The district encourages the use Apple computers as well as Windows-based PCs.  The WCSD has also become a leader in the area of distance learning, by integrating Video Conferencing and a Blog/Wiki/Podcast server.   In an effort to enhance literacy the district has a well developed Library/Media department to address teaching and learning needs for the 21st century.
